Accessibility Statement
Our commitment
MarketGenie is committed to making our website and the websites we build for clients accessible to as many people as possible. We believe great web design includes everyone — and we work to meet or exceed widely accepted accessibility standards.
Standards we follow
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standard, set by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities, including those who are blind, partially sighted, deaf, hard of hearing, or who have cognitive, motor, or other accessibility needs.
What we do
On marketgenie.uk and on the sites we build, we:
- Use semantic HTML so screen readers can navigate content properly
- Provide alt text for meaningful images
- Ensure colour contrast meets WCAG AA standards
- Make all interactive elements keyboard-accessible
- Use clear, simple language wherever possible
- Respect users' motion preferences (reduced motion)
- Make form fields properly labelled and announced to assistive technology
- Test with screen readers and keyboard-only navigation
Known limitations
Web accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we're always working to improve. If you find any part of this website difficult to use, or if something is not working as expected with assistive technology, we'd love to hear about it so we can fix it.
Feedback and contact
If you have any feedback or run into any accessibility issues on our website, please get in touch:
- Email: geno@marketgenie.uk
- Phone: +44 789 686 0839
We aim to respond within two business days.
Enforcement
In the UK, the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is responsible for enforcing the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018. If you're not happy with how we respond to your accessibility complaint, you can contact the EHRC.
Accessibility on client sites
When we build sites for clients, we apply the same accessibility principles as a default. Specific accessibility commitments and standards for individual client sites are agreed in writing as part of each project.
Note: This statement reflects our current commitments and practices. We review and update it regularly as our work and the standards evolve.
